The Governor  Mr. Kadir Sertel OTCU , the chairman of the Tarsus Olive Platform meeting  where the geographically marked Tarsus Sarıulak Olive was the main agenda.

In his opening speech about the establishment, purpose and activities of Tarsus Olive Platform, Mr. Murat Kaya informed Mr. OTcu about the platform.

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Department of Agriculture Serdal Gökçek, Tarsus Deputy Mayor Abdulkerim Özkul, District Director of Agriculture and Forestry Hayri Erdoğan, Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry President H. Ruhi Koçak, Tarsus Chamber of Agriculture Veyis Avcı, Alata Horticultural Research Institute Directorate Department of Business Administration Mersin City Council - Tarsus Slowfood Leader Yasmina Lokmanoğlu and Tarsus City Council President Ali Cerrahoğlu were the guests of the Tarsus Olive Platform meeting where Cengiz Türkay was present.

In the meeting, it was pointed out that the agendas constituting the content of the meeting were an important step for Tarsus at the point of branding, and the importance of cooperation and cooperation with the producers, understanding of the geographical sign and brand value of Tarsus Sarıulak Olive, ownership by the local people, how and at which points the producer was supported were discussed in the meeting.

At the meeting, working criteria and working activities of these organizations were determined until procurement of Tarsus Sarıulak Olives from the producer in the framework of cooperation with the institutions participating in the Platform, making the brine, packaging and producing the oil in this oil and marketing it in this oil.

Finally, the 3rd Tarsus Gastronomy Days activities to be held on 25-27 October 2019 were discussed and the support to be provided by the Platform was decided at this meeting.
